This should not be about race this person broke the law and from reading i would say he is guilty of manslaughter and should be tried and convicted.

It is about race because of the amount of press it's going to receive in comparison to the much more prevalent icases of black on white murder.  Imbeciles will use rare instances of this kind to perpetuate the myth that blacks are under constant attack by whites when in fact the truth is the very opposite.

unfortunately brown people have a stigma in the US amongst the white and Asian population at the very least. I've had white friends tell me when walking past a group of black guys down town he gets nervous / anxious even though they didn't say or do anything to him.

It's late at night and you see a white chick on your porch you yell at her what do you want. On the other hand you wake up late, its dark and you see a dark figure trying to get in your house.. people are more likely to panic. White people and Asians don't come across as threatening as brown people do for some reason for most.

If he was in real fear for his life and shot her, he would say so knowing the law was on his side. Saying the gun "accidentally" went off makes me think otherwise. I've handled guns my whole life and never had an accidental discharge let alone an accurately placed face shot.

If I was in the same situation of this girl, knowing its a rich white neighborhood I'd be loud and obvious. Knocking and stating something like "Hello, I'm broken down and need someone to call the police to assist me" . As the home owner I would have heard that and told my wife to call the police as I told the person the police are on the way and then kept an eye on her (to make sure she is telling the truth and doesn't have friends in the bushes or going around back of my house)

We will see the full story soon enough. If her prints are on a window or door handle he may have a case. At the very least he will get a manslaughter or unlawful discharge of a FA charge I bet. Which isn't shit compared to the civil lawsuit her family will bring against him! Hope he has some equity in his house and a good lawyer lined up.

Incidents like this are politically and socially advantageous.  Groups aren't going to stop milking these incidents until doing so no longer has an effect.  It's an intentional distraction away from the real issues and people eat it up.

Off topic, isn't it crazy how your life could be ended by someone who thinks they're right in what they're doing? It won't do this chick any good if this guy gets convicted, she's still dead.
