deca and ligament damage
« on: January 03, 2006, 04:11:38 PM »
i have a buddy who has recently gone thru shoulder surgery for ligament repair and was wondering is using some deca to help speed things along will do more harm than good in the long run.

If your asking if deca will help speed the healing process, then the answer is no... there are no healing properties in deca.

It will however create some relief in the joints, but I can't see it helping a ligament problem. My suggestion to your buddy is to heal up first before he jumps back in to lifting.

Yeah, I said that already. But your right, if he jumps back in before he's healed, all the gear in the world won't help him.

I think a low dose cycle of Deca during his rehab would be beneficial to the joints, something like 200MG ew, people have done this.  Deca's anabolic properties not only aid the joint tissue, but also will strengthen the surrounding muscle which aids in full recovery.

If I was in his position, I'd probably run Deca when I was cleared to start rehab.

Valid points, but you would agree that as far as directly healing the ligament that it would have no affect?
