As an Aussie living in America I am amazed the NFL doesn't get some league halfbacks over here and teach these guys some passing skills since lateral passes are legal in the NFL.

Because rugby players tend to suck...look at the ones that try out.

The US doesn't really care about rugby...think about it, it's from Britain, Aussies have much in common with with the UK, and still have a similar accent and diction, many slang terms, and culturally is still very similar. The US is the rebellious child, comes up with it's own style, speech, culture, and sports.

Rugby League and Rugby are different sports BTW.

I was talking about lateral passing skills not about rugby league players trying to play NFL.

Check out these lateral passes…

Nope, Rugby has smarter "juice" in use  ;) nobody ever mentioned those formulas on GB  ;)
O yes they do care, if was 62 : 0 for the US then would be just fine.
No one is more pro-americanized than Australia, pop in see  ;)

I enjoy rugby and hope that one of these days the USA can prove to be more competitive against the world's best.

actually, it's not that they don't care but elite athletes in the usa go for equipment football money.  2nd tier play soccer.  3rd tier play rugby which is nothing but sand lot football to american youth.  rugby players would get destroyed in nfl training camps let alone a full season.  if elite rbs out of universities can only last 3-4 seasons in the nfl, i doubt a rugby player makes it 2 seasons before his knees are gone.  hope this helps.

on a side note, i'm jealous of nz rugby players because of hybrid maori women.  >:(

haka!

Less than 5% of NFL players would last more than 5 minutes playing either Rugby or Rugby League...

Just to be clear, the international competition this thread is about is Rugby Union,   not plain "Rugby".  Videos are from Rugby League though.  There is no such game as Rugby.

Now it's not just Rugby Union that the USA sucks at.  The national "Soccer" team was over here in Scotland on Friday night and were very lucky to draw 0-0 with Scotland at Hampden Park, Glasgow.

I've played both sports, and American Football with pads and helmet is much more rough and violent than rugby is. Don't let the no pads fool you.

Gent's, RUGBY 7's is now Olympic sport  :) so ?.
I am not big fan of Gridiron, but I would not say that sucks.
Just like compering amateur Olympic boxing with pro boxing or unlicensed boxing !
I prefer U. boxing, someone else would call it too brutal, etc,.
Rugby "juice" is far ahead of BB juice  :D, today's BB staff was mid 90's rugby's friend.

A lot of those players are wider than Heath.
