Testosterone Replacement Therapy is a controversial topic in professional sports, and perhaps the most controversial subject in mixed martial arts today.

UFC veteran Vitor Belfort made his professional fighting debut at the age of 19 in October 1996. Before turning 20, he won the UFC 12 Heavyweight Tournament with knockouts of Tra Telligman and Scott Ferrozzo. Now 36 years old, Belfort remains a two-division contender. He’s logged three head-kick knockouts in a row, but his use of TRT has some questioning the legitimacy of his recent wins.

“Vitor Belfort has NOT been abusing TRT. In a million (expletive) years, I would NEVER let that happen, EVER,” said UFC president Dana White following Belfort’s recent knockout of Dan Henderson. “Dan and Vitor were both on TRT,” added White.

i have a doctor in detroit who'll script someone all the trt/hrt they want. :D

the UFC is not randomly tested. any performance based doctor can help an athlete perform optimally on anabolics and not bust out on a piss test.

once you have taken TRT you have a lifelong physiological advantage over the lifelong non steroid athlete.

wish they'd just eliminate drug testing all together like they had in Pride. it's almost 2014, like science do it's job.

TRT is not steroid use, two different things, please research "steroid"

i'd love to see the NFL with one season of "no drug testing".

Guys would be out there, bigger and leaner and faster than ever... zoomed in using adderall... maybe some recreational stuff too... it'd be some amazing plays.

Remember, TRT is a dr. writing a script to get someone IN RANGE.  Not 1200 ng/ml PLUS. 

I'm on TRT because my levels were so low (150s).  I also had (have) a kickass build, so it's somewhat an anomoly.  My levels hopefully will reach what is average, around 600ng/ml. 

UFC shouldn't allow someone to compete if they're taking bodybuilder type amounts.  If they're on legit TRT though, I believe it's fine, as long as they're competing within range.
