If Christie wins the nomination in 2016, Democrats might just celebrate.  I'm not sure all that much will change.

Christie is on record as believing in global warming and, more specifically, that it is man made.  He can NEVER escape this position with base voters.  Ever.  Christie Agrees with Obama

Christie clearly opposes offshore drilling off the coast on New Jersey.   Repubs want to drill, baby, drill!  Christie Agrees with Obama

Christie has stood with Obama’s EPA- arguably one of the most liberally radical federal agencies- in opposing construction of a new power plant in eastern Pennsylvania.   He hates coal.  HATES COAL!!!!  Christie Agrees with Obama

Abortion issue?  Christie has donated $ to Planned Parenthood.  Christie has since changed his position, but that may be hard to sell to base voters.... suddenly he's a flipflopper?  Compared to lifelong pro-life candidates like Rand, no contest

Foreign intervention?  lol, obama all the way: We ARE the leader in Libya; we MUST be the world's police.  Christie Agrees with Obama

Guns?  No right-to-carry cross-state reciprocity. (Jun 2012) - Favors gun control measures from law-enforcement perspective  Christie Agrees with Obama

Christie was notoriously soft on illegal immigrants, and called it a federal problem.  That's right, he wants the govt to handle it.  Christie Agrees with Obama

NJ Govt has ballooned under Christie - He's not a small govt guy.  Christie Agrees with Obama

Christie has completely capitulated to a federal, Obama-supported educational policy... NCLB all the way, baby!   Christie Agrees with Obama

A fatter version of Romney?

Romney's dd was gov and ran for prez.  Romney was a millionaire and was essentially, running for prez his entire life.  He LOOKED like president.  He ACTED like president.  He was diplomatic and really would have done a solid job - he had been running for it since he was born.

Christie is *probably* just the latest media conversation... you know how they entertained "can hermann Cain overcome the haters?" when it was really Cain's lack of grasp of anything pase 9-9-9 that cost him the job.  The media was VERY good at ramping up 5 or 7 guys, over and over, to the top of the polls.  Newt led by 25 points once, didn't he?  LMAO...

Looking at the list I showed above... Any conservative would be batshit crazy to look at his record, his appearance, his anger, and say "This guy is way more electable and conservative than Rand or Cruz".   Seriously.  Sure, they'll fall in line with half-hearted support if it's him against Hilary... although there's a chance Hilary might be more conservative than Christie is Wink

The liberal media considers Christie a non-threat... they love his ass.  MSNBC is on his nuts like you wouldn't believe.  They WANT this angry fat slob with democrat voting record to be up against whoever follows Obama on the dem side.

The question is, what do repubs want?

Good post.

The republicans will say they want a real conservative but then they will stab him in the back and go with a Cristie/Romney instead.

Look what happened to RP during the GOP convention.

Remember SOME getbiggers saying they were GLAD that Ron Paul was railroaded (dude driven around RNC in a bus so he couldn't get out to address it, they changed rules on the fly to avoid giving RP voice time)

These "repubs" said they were okay with it because it was important to "unite" the party.

Yeah, I hope you eat a dog shit sandwich if you were "okay with it" last time.  Don't take offense if it wasn't you.  But if you were okay with it, well, be happy when it happens again... when Rand or Cruz will have a real case for the nomination and they'll just escort RINO Christie to the front of the line.

But hey, it's important to "unite", cause we all know that means great base turnout, right?  Wink

If the base thinks a black commie, hell bent on destroying the US is still better than who their own party has nominated, how are you ever gonna convince them to vote Huh

"Maybe my opponent Gov Christie gleaned some advice from President Obama when he called him to congratulate him for winning that second term...

Obama congratulates Republican Christie in phone call

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Barack Obama congratulated New Jersey's Republican governor, Chris Christie, on Wednesday on his landslide re-election victory.

White House spokesman Jay Carney told reporters on an Air Force One flight carrying Obama to Dallas that Obama and Christie had spoken by phone a day after Christie's victory.

Christie, a moderate and potential 2016 Republican presidential candidate, defeated Democrat Barbara Buono, who did not get much help from Obama in her uphill battle to defeat the Republican.

Obama and Christie bonded in the aftermath of the superstorm Sandy that swept across New Jersey a year ago when the Democratic president gave a well-received show of concern that may have helped him win re-election over Republican Mitt Romney. Obama and Christie visited the Jersey Shore together in May to promote the area's recovery from the storm.

Rand Paul:

“I think the Republican Party is a big party, and we need moderates like Chris Christie who can win in New Jersey in our party,” Paul said in an interview with CNN. “What it means about the national party, I’m not sure there is an answer. But we do need moderates like Chris Christie in the party.”

Such a ticket really would be unbeatable.  the repub "base" hasn't truly gotten out of bed to vote since 2004.  And even then, the election came down to one state.

The repubs sat home in 2008 and 2012.

But hey, I'm sure a pro-climate change, anti-coal, planned parenthood donating, world police, pro-gun control, pro-amnesty, big govt candidate like Christie will change things.

I sense that a storm is coming next year....lets hope so. Cause if conservatives don't show up and fight like hell in those elections, the Left will never lose again

By extension... maybe in the GOP primaries, the RINOS will never lose again.

When you consider - in 2012 and ever since - FOX news, Levin, Hannity... they've all pushed for the "establishment" candidate.  They mocked Ron paul and now they mock rand.  FOX has been all over Cruz for the last 3 months.

The "left" mindset, RINO beliefs, are represented by both candidates in elections now.   Christie is pretty similar to Hilary.  Doesn't matter to MSNBC who wins.  Their ratings will spike when they're ANTI- whoever is in charge.

From now on we refer to them as Vichy republicans...those collaborationists who side with the democrats in power instead of siding with and backing up their own.

Better to try to make a funny, then to try to be an idiot and SUCCEED. Like you.

There is nothing and I mean nothing more stupid than being a foreigner, in this case from Canada, and be absolutely engrossed and obsessed with the political situation in the USA.

The height of stupidity is living every single day worrying and commenting on the political legislations of another country that in the end have no meaningful effect on your life.

It is a testament as to why you would endear yourself to this country's libtards.

Why can't that fat bodied slimy walrus looking piece of shit twinkle toed commie coksucker Christie just fuck the hell off already?

Get to hear him on the talk radio shows i listen to blowing Brobama constantly and making himself look like what he is:  400 lbs of chewed bubble gum with a beet red faced head on top.

When this sweaty fat tub of shit started letting Brobama push his shit in on the regular, I knew he was assured a candidacy in the next election.
