lol

Pea protein is high in arginine, lysine, and phenylalanine. Didn't Layne Norton do a study on arginine or lysine proving how effective it is?

I ordered it a few years ago from True Protein to save some money as I was a "starving" university student.

It was absolutely disgusting. Never again. See if Dante will send you a sample of it. He's pretty good that way. My boyfriend at the time didn't mind it, so you might not either. I absolutely hated it.

Thanks, do you think it's worth it nutritionally though if I can stand the taste? Egg protein is what I buy now but it's outrageously expensive.

Absolutely I do. I did some careful research into it and nutritionally it has all you need. If you can stand the taste go for it.

True Protein had decent prices for proteins...haven't been there in a couple of years though so I'm not sure what their prices are like now.

I would suggest that you buy a sample first. You can always buy more later, in case you're able to keep it in your stomach (good luck!)

Go to Costco or BJ's and buy eggs. Cook them in a pan and eat them. Cheap and tastes better than powdered eggs that they charge so much for in egg protein powder.

Yes, it is great. The stuff has no taste but you can add flavorings of course. The first mistake is to mix it too thick which you should avoid. Mix it with rice protein powder and it is even better (nutritionally).

I use the one from myprotein.co.uk.

Oh yes, I'm going to put more effort into this.  You can get great, inexpensive brown eggs at Aldi.

my ex, who was a fitness girl and already had a cancer scare when she was 16 decided she wanted to eat 'organic' crap... and ditched the whey protein in favor for Pea protein. tasted like complete shit.. looked like complete shit.. and cost 2x what whey costs. but there was no reasoning with that woman. Bulgarian/greek, smoking hot and she knew it, with 500cc implants, and a back that looked like mine, only 1/10th the size. crazy temper. I still have her on instagram, and she's still posting pics of her organic crap....because it's healthier, right??  ::) yet she's lost all the muscle she had with me and the cancer came back a couple times.

if it tastes like shit, you're not gonna drink it. if you don't drink it, it's fucking useless.

people use chicken, fish (tuna, tilapia, roughy, salmon), beef, turkey, eggs, and whey for a reason.... they fucking work. and they're not expensive as hell, and they taste good.

fuck pea protein.

Besides buying real eggs at Costco, Bj's, and Aldi you can also go to the supermarket and buy real food. I would rather eat a T bone steak or get a cooked chicken for $4:50 than buy a $55 dollar container of powdered crap. I really suspect all these different whey protein companies buy their whey off the same three whey protein suppliers. I even wonder if they out source getting their materials from China. Remember there is no and I mean no regulation of supplements.

most whey protein comes from New Zealand, Ireland and  other such like dairy producing countries. China is a importer of dairy products
