I am sorry but if i see somebody knocked out cold on the floor and another person is still beating on him i am jumping in, I cannot stand by and watch somebody try to murder a fellow human being without doing anything.

The thing is if step in you need to come strong or don't come at all. I've seen the good samartian scenario countless times and more often than not it ends up bad for the good samartian.
