Did Dorian have any win that was not debatable?

I think a lot of people agree - pros included - that Dorian was so far ahead in 1993 that it's potentially the most dominant win in the sport. Ever. Even the likes of Ray, Wheeler and Bannout said as much at the time (let's ignore the sour grapes many years afterwards.)

1995 wasn't much different.

Doz was so far ahead of the competition in the 93 MR O that the judges did not even bother to call him out in the Muscularity round.

Afterwards Dorian was quoted as saying'I knew then that I was either first or last, and I was'nt F**king last!

That part at the end was funny; I could barely make out what he was saying though, I had to turn the volume up and listen like 3 times.

If I burn that on to CD can it still automatically delete.

btw, you have to go here http://www.winace.com/ if you can't open it...

Good stuff Rob.

In terms of the top five of his era, I think Dorian was the best from the back and the worst from the front.  So how does that justify his wins?   ???

Dorian was an excellent bodybuilder and had he been placed fairly would have always been top three, but was definitely the least dominant, most overrated Mr. Olympia ever among the top Mr. Os (Coleman, Haney, and Arnold).
did yates have anything other than 1's on the scorecards?   coleman has won a few by barely squeeking by.

dorian had won before he stepped onstage...

true, but the things people were saying about Ronnie's 2003 win were the same. People were going on about how he was so far ahead that he should retire while ontop.

I look at dorian's 93 win and ronnie's 2003 win in a very similar respect:

1. both 'raised the bar" in terms of mass at the time (BOTH were the heaviest on record at the time : Yates at 257, ronnie at 287)

2. Both were considered to have set a new standard, one that was far above the next nearest competitor.

3. Both sucked the following year.

However, Ronnie is awesome and Dorian is overrated, so that sets them apart ;)

I DONT THINK RONNIE SUCKED IN 04, AND HE WAS DEFINITLY BETTER THAN EVERYONE ELSE.

You're right - he was better than everyone else...

but that's because everyone else sucked even more!

And, as you can see, ronnie was much dryer at the press conference in 04 than he was at the contest, esp. the pre-judging where he was hold lots of water..

This video is testament to Dorian's greatness, and deserves to become a classic of bodybuilding.

pretty sure yates never lost a single round after he won the o. in 92,so yes he was definitely the most dominant ever in the sport.ronnie and hasney both sqeaked by a couple times on the judges scorecards.

Holy resurrection of a dead thread!

Interesting topic, though... Yates vs Ronnie

This demands further investigation
