in old article Don reinhoudt spoke about john kolb, reinhoudt was a 400lbs pler and told that kolb had stronger grip / overall strenght than him.

i do the same movement 3 times weekly

Normally when people do these, they're done on cable tower pull-up bar handles. But he's doing them on hanging rings which require a huge amount of extra stabilization of the body.

Kolb's been in shape for years, he's taught exercise and physiology at a few smaller schools too, so I'm sure he knows what's up. He's here now -

good find he was in the WSM and strongest player in the NFL contests. he pulled a much heavier guy and beat him in the tug of war. and came in second to teammate mike webster in the nfl sm.
