coach, i have to ask you honestly: have you ever truly looked into what crossfit is, or are you just finding the occasional article that reaffirms your preconceptions about it and mindlessly bleating them?

after all, there are SCADS of olympic lifters who, only the olympic PLATFORM, lost balance and dropped a bar on their head. here's one from the 2012 olympic games.

Crossfit is stupid and medically dangerous, you just defend it because you are part of it. Modern day bodybuilding is stupid too but at its core Bodybuilding is a practice that has existed since ancient greece and has millenia of science to back it. The drugs came into the picture later on. Crossfit is basically the Zumba of weight lifting, pointless and dangerous work outs aimed to appease the ego and the wallets of the traines who run crossfit gyms. I actually spent time reading and researching cross fit and I rarely ever make up my mind without research. Crossfit is retarded.

More info on the lift, lifter is an ex - gymnast, and mentioned that when she felt that she was going to miss it, she tucked and rolled to try and get out of the way. She was also trying to make a #25lb jump over her previous max. Yikes.

She was ok though.

25lbs? That says a lot. It says inexperience and knows NOTHING about the progressions of strength training. Who made the decision to make that jump, her or her "coach"?

Where did I dispute said condition?  Merely predicting the drivel that was going to be spewed from your fingertips.  Still waiting on this research.  There are no automatic responses in my post.  It was calling you out for claims you make.  When do you think you will be able to put forth an adequate response?
