Computer Savvy Getbiggers - Trying to set up uTorrent
« on: November 28, 2013, 08:46:50 AM »
I just downloaded uTorrent for one of my nieces on her laptop.

How exactly do I go about retrieving an actual movie?

I've never used any of these programs, but I've read on here before that a number of you are quite talented in retrieving movies, shows etc.

All I have done is downloaded the uTorrent program so far onto her laptop. What do I have to do next (in detailed steps, if possible) to get her an actual movie?

Thank you all!

Do you need a special player to view the movies or would Windows Media Player suffice? Any particular player that you would recommend?

Are you saying this site offers torrents as well and is better than kat.ph or do you mean something else?

Its more of a search engine.. you put the movie in the search engine and it will give you all the
links to where movie is available at.. a lot of the movies can be streamed .. nowvideo is very good for streaming ..

My recommendation is first to download PeerBlock, google it. It's a program that block IP traces in case it's illegal to download movies where you live. That supposedly blocks people "listening in".

Then go to Pirate Bay! Most popular movies are there. Read the user comments on each movie before, to determine if it's a good or bad upload.

Press the magnet sign of a movie and voila, it should open in your torrent client automatically. Windows might ask about the new torrent program, just press ok.

And yes, VLC player is easily the best choice for playing downloaded movies.

I use Vuze to download/open torrents  http://www.vuze.com/

I watch the movies with Media Player Classic   http://mpc-hc.org/
