It's comfortable, but it moves more of the stress of the lift to the quads, and upper / mid back. If that's not something you want, it's some thing to think about.

Personal preference, however, I have used that for years for front and back squats, more comfortable than a bar across your delts when doing fronts for sure.

Ignore uberman on this front.  Yes, that's a great piece of equipment for squatting.  Cambered bars, which I use, are excellent too.

Either way, you could use a sandbag and derive more benefit than a seated leg/hamstring curl machine.

black friday has to be the biggest collection of fat asses i've seen in a while.

at least on new years eve, it's the hot skinny people that go out.

I have one. What are you hoping to get out of it? If you have low back issues from squatting, this thing won't help, it'll actually put more stress down there. The weights swing out in front of the bar when you pull the yoke down. Good for your shoulders, if that's an issue.

That said, if you turn it around  it makes for an interesting variation on the front squat.

I was thinking it would take some of the stress off my lower back since it seems like you don't have to lean forward as much. Also seems like it would be easier on the knees for the same reason.

A person can stay on Wendover alone and see enough fatasses to fill calendars for a milleneum.

barbell squats no matter the apparatus will fuck up your lower back

as you get stronger

you add more weight

then you fuck up your back

because your lower back isnt designed to get endlessly powerful

I have to hit Wendover to visit Golden Corral but otherwise can avoid it most of the time.

I can't speak for the Rogue brand, but in general, I LOVE the yoke bars.

I personally use them for standing calve raises.. would load it with 100lb plates and do 600-800lb standing calve raises in a power rack.

I use them for clients.. usually older clients and girls... who have a hard time squatting with a bar at first.

Our store was near there.  Across from BestBuy.  Stuffed myself at GC many times.
