Wrong, all hitler did was restore the parts of germany that were stripped at versailles; most of the populace in the retaken territories WANTED to be back with germany.

Britain didn't HAVE to do anything. Their decision to start a world war over a small territorial dispute between germany and poland will go down as one of the worst decisions in history. Britain was still THE world power, at the height of their empire. Hitler admired them and wanted an alliance with britain. Instead, britain decided to declare war of germany, thus setting into motion the world war, with the result being that within 5 years london was in rubble, britain a broke, hobbled, 2nd-rate power, their entire empire to be dissolved as a result...all because they chose to DECLARE WAR ON GERMANY in a fit of pride and hubris over a local border dispute with poland.
