You have an option. Lump sum and heavily taxed so you get less. Or payments, less taxed but you don't get all your money.

in uk you get every fucking penny tax free  8)

I thought a learjet cost like 40mil how does he ven afford that. If I won the lottery, I would go on a year long sabatical and spend nothing. It seems most of those bad decisions happen in the first year and the rest of the money is spent trying to rectify or justify that first year.

You can buy shares in a private jet.....some Junior Getbiggers start out that way before buying their first G5.

The last time I'd be seen in public was to get the check. The next time 99% of the people I know even heard from me would be through a lawyer. One house...2 cars...and just take trips..to places where you never see anybody else. I'd be out of the Army in 30 days and that would be that.

One time pay offs...I'd take care of my mom and that's all I'd be worried about. the wife would take care of her family through her parents in one lump sum. You have to disappear. This shit is all about your current life style. I'm not a care guy, atleast to the point I'd want some ridiculous sports car. I might open a no kill shelter/farm ...good home gym, travel and do powerlifting seminars...and a shit load of juice as I'm not in the Army anymore.

Wreck less and relentless spending could get one there pretty quick. Almost sounds like a Ronnie Coleman training video

In Canada too.  My best friends cousin lives in Toronto and won $6 mil in 1998... no tax.  However, it didn't last long when every family member came out of the woodwork looking for a hand out.  Last I heard he only had under $1 million left.

Common sense is definitely NOT common.
