In the California state college system there is a limit for the Asia students. Limiting their enrollment in classes. Too many, too smart. Racial bias, of course. Favoring the Latino & black students over Asian and whites. It's the political correct thing, the real ruin of the educational school system.
Problem being that the Latino & blacks tend to drop out after a few semesters or never finish the basic 4 years. Good for the ones who do. Some of these minority students are pasted through, until graduation, just to give the impression of racial advancements. Grade standards keep getting lower every year, it seems, for most of them.
If your a good athlete , that is the gold standard for any minority student. Partial or full scholarships to some of the most ill qualified students (OK..dumb) in America. All the while the Asians and white kid is left out. Big time football & basketball, for example can pay for any university's bill, twice or more over.
