Andrey malanichev...2425@321

first man to break 2400 raw.

squat...959...bench...57 3....DL...892

also holds 308 squat record...992 raw

http://www.powerliftingwatch.com/node/26701

andrei didn't squat the way he wanted, he came to late at the show and couldn't warm up correctly and missed the first attempt. Then the bar used for the squat was a 35mm, the thickness of the bar is a problem for andrei because of the way he put the bar on his upper back.

Russian are real men.

The best part of these threads is the powerlifters angrily rushing to the defense of their bloated heroes.  Very entertaining, each & every time  :D

There is not G4P and synthol in real powerlifting.
It's a real sport, not a weirdo asylum like bbing.

Malanichev also tore his hamstring badly a little while back, and that could be a factor too.

Yeah, he can lift a lot of weight, but let's see him do a backflip or a karate kick.

People here complain of the gayness of bodybuilding all the time, while at
the same time would have sucked off that metrosexual scarecrow junkie Zyzz
given the opportunity.

I think anyone who has ever trained very hard for anything would be impressed with
this insane strength display. If you ever do say squats with an eye on increasing loads over
time you will appreciate the insanity of squatting a triple with close to a grand. But he's just fat right? Look at that last pic.

Yes Fat Panda showed us that phenomenon many times.

Exactly, the measure of a man right here.

Who gives a shit if he can back flip, can you? Who can back flip on this board and even if you can, why?

the fact that you even consider money having anything to do with this accomplishment is why we know you don't understand the sport of powerlifting.  so please don't mock what you don't understand.

Precisely.

He's not a man so he doesn't understand doing something for the glory and sheer accomplishment.

He's a either a gimmick or a retard. He has no idea what its like to approach real weight. Bench...whatever it can be stressful..deads..u either lift it or don't but squats with a ton of weight, that takes a mentally tough dude. I just did a meet yesterday and am smashed...still no better feeling in the world.

How did you do, brother?

Weak bench.  I can't lift it but I've know many others who weigh under 321 that could bench that.  Hebrew power

So with this statement you openly admit to knowing nothing about strength.

Congratulations.

Malanichev also just signed with Universal/Animal, and maybe coming to America for the Arnold and RUM big raw meet, so that's nice to see.

How did you do, brother?

I benched a 330 but have a torn labrum so anywhere from 330 to 350 is about it and I bench almost close grip because of that. My squat was a 560 and pulled 610. That's a 1500 total. USAPL Raw 242 class...weighted in at 230. I compete either  under 220 or in the 242's but usually at 225 if I'm over. I don't worry about the weight until I get my totals up. We're thinking of doing a Highland games in April so I'm going to begin training for that after Christmas.

Who said anything about bodybuilding?  It's just as fucked up.... only thing is, nobody here would argue differently.

In theory, both disciplines are pretty cool but anything taken to its extreme is gonna get "weird"

It sucks the powerlifting board here doesn't get more hits. Claymore is a one man army over there. I'm on the JTS and cube boards with video etc.  I do alot of the seminars and have worked with Clint Darden off and on for the last two years. The threads bashing the sport are hilarious.

Why should I care if he can squat a lot then?  He probably couldn't karate kick his way out of a wet paper bag (with his left leg) so what good is his leg strength?
