Nope. This was from November 1979. This was PRE-1980 Mr. Olympia. From what I read he was just under 200 pounds here.

Ever notice that Arnold spoke better and more clearly then than he does now... WTF is up with that?

Nope. he was preparing for the Conan film at the time , in early 1980 he learned the news that Conan production was pushed for 1981 so he decided to enter the O in the fall that year.

You know.. I think it boils down to that he was more active.. I really think he tried back then, tried to hide the accent, he went to school and trained with speech therapists etc.

He laso used a lot of literal references and elequent words in his interviews around 1980, he read a lot at this time obviously, and I think that it had an effect.

Nowadays I don't think he gives a shit and just is in a relaxed state about the "hol sink".

No, this was from November 1979. It's from the Johnny Carson archives. It aired on TV on November 13, 1979.

He was preparing for Conan at the time. He says it himself at 1:10 in the video directly below. The complete interview was about 15 minutes. Directly below is the 2nd part of the interview where he mentions Conan:

You're right. That interview is pretty much the best, clearest quality English I've heard from him. Maybe helps that is talking slowly and not having to shout.

He says in the interview that he's around 210 pounds (and 6 foot 2).

Here's another interview from around the same time in ~1979, where he says he has signed up to do the Conan movie, so it's probably around 6 months earlier than the Carson interview.  (Or however long it takes his hair to get that long, from the length it is here ...)
