She should run.

Tea Partyers Press Palin for Alaska Senate Run
Friday, 06 Dec 2013
By Melanie Batley

A campaign by a leading tea party group is underway to convince former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin to run for Senate, believing she's the GOP's best chance of unseating incumbent Democratic Sen. Mark Begich in the midterm elections next year.

In an email message Friday, the Tea Party Leadership Fund asks supporters to make a donation toward the effort so as to convince Palin to throw her hat in the ring. This latest fundraising push is the culmination of work the group began months ago to build support for the former GOP vice presidential nominee, including a petition to draft Palin into the campaign.

"We have one last shot at pushing Sarah Palin over the top and into the race for Alaska's U.S. Senate seat," writes Todd Cefaratti, the group's Freedom Organizer. "Mark Begich just came out in support of expanding both Obamacare and a plan that will bankrupt Social Security. Once-and-for-all, let's convince Sarah to commit to run for Alaska's U.S. Senate seat and end the Democrats' wild spending spree before it's too late."

The group suggests that Palin is actively considering the run, citing an appearance she made on Sean Hannity's radio show in July during which she said, "I've considered it because people have requested me considering it," Politico reports.

The group is also attempting to capitalize on tea party opposition to establishment Republicans in Congress.

"The United States Senate rests just outside conservative control, and by electing more Tea Party Heroes to replace the establishment cronies from either party—you can be a tangible part of saving our nation from slipping into the vast sea of liberal socialism," Cefaratti writes.

"Now more than ever, we need another Tea Party Hero in the Senate to halt Harry Reid and his pals in their war against our Constitution on issues like amnesty, gun control, and our nation's crushing debt. With Sarah in the Senate, conservatives across America will rest easier at night knowing she's at the watch."

Palin has not signaled whether she intends to run, but during an appearance on Fox News in September at the height of the tea party effort to defund Obamacare, Palin flirted with the idea saying, "Ted Cruz and more of those good guys need some reinforcements in these midterm elections, to undo so much of what the Democrats are doing. I don’t know if it’ll be me."

Two Republicans already have announced challenges to Begich including Lt. Gov. Mead Treadwell and Joe Miller.

Palin had an insanely good run of luck.  Was just good enough to fall into Gov office, had the right gender/attractiveness to be chosen by Mccain for the Hilary/visual voters.   Was just popular enough to get a FOX pundit slot for a while.  Was just known enough to get a few chances at reality TV.

Now, she's kinda run out of options.  She's bailed on everything she'd been a part of, her track record is pretty clear now.  Running for Senate would be a lot of hard work, and for someone used to stumbling into good luck, I dunno...

She should run.  It'd be fun and exciting news for 2014.  But anyone who truly expects her to do that kind of work... I'm not sure republicans take her seriously anymore.  Aside from parroting popular ideas at the time, I'm not sure what else she offers.

I can ask "What were the major accomplishments of Palin in the last 10 years?"

What would be the answer?  Got herself elected?  LOL so did Trey Radel.  Got chosen for veep?  LOL so did Dan Quayle and John Edwards.  She was a big motivator in 2010, yes, I'll give her that... but being a "good speaker" was what Obama did... and these days, her Tea Party message is unfortunately ineffective since 2011.  No more "million man beck rallies".

Maybe she has amazing things in mind, but at this point, it seems like she's more interested in being a "star" than making change to America.  She would have easily won re-election as Gov, but quit after 65% of her term to get a TV show (FOX).  When that tanked, she's resorted to reality TV, which also flopped.

Can't blame her for wanting to be a TV star, it's very exciting.  But suddenly pretending she wants to be in Govt again, lol, a lot of people woidn't see it as genuine.

Teabaggers once again showing the world just how tone deaf they are

Palin has an unfavorable rating in Alaska that appears to be just slightly larger than Obama

Polls show she would win the Republican primary but lose to the Democratic incumbent (sound familiar?)

Wow, Palin only has a 39% approval rating in her own state?  Those are low, obama type numbers!

58% unfavorable in Alaska... unreal.  Obama only has a 50.1% unfavorable rating accourding to RCP.

Palin is hated more in alaska, than obama is nationally.  WTF?
