This. His journey really comes as one lengthy suicide from a man with an obvious self-hatred problem that neither steroids, synthol, tattoos could fix. It is a sad story though and may it be some kind of wake-up call for people who feel incline to take that path.

Well, death is almost always a tragedy for those close to the deceased. But I doubt those close to him read getbig to begin with, and even if they do there's nothing inappropriate about criticizing the choices he made which almost certainly contributed to his death. Not even if the criticism is delivered in the typical getbig fashion.

well of course. But im not close to him and neither are you. I knew drugs were going to end me... I stopped. But if I had ODd, no ons besides my family should have shed tears... as I would have killed myself because of my own inability to deal with my issues. I dont see that as an tragedy, nor do I expect anyone beyond my family/friends to gice a shit.

a tragedy is when an innocents life is taken against their will a IMHO not when a man who cant get over their insecurities/addictions runs himself into the ground.

DA show fans are currently in mourning at this news, a meeting is planned later on today between the 2 of them to discuss whose show they will listen to next, if their shock therapy finishes on time.

Sad for his family. But how many fucking warnings over how many years did this guy get and ignore?? He chased the "lifestyle" to the very end and clearly never came off. Guy played with fire and got burnt. To a crisp......

Why does everybody believe that Derek's addictions killed him? I don't believe that was the main cause of his demise.

His never ending quest for attention and acceptance is what lead him on this downward spiral. He had huge mental and emotional problems.

I do not agree. We are humans not animals and a little love could go a long way. In today's society we are more loving towards dogs than other fellow human beings. Sad but true.
