Presidents during my life...
« on: December 11, 2013, 09:17:37 PM »
Everyone else is welcome to add their own views...but here is what I remember as my general thoughts about the presidents (that I was old enough to remember)

Carter: too young to remember much.  Pretty sure my parents thought he was a moron though

Reagan:  felt like America was "good." Was proud to be American.  Remember my hillbilly parents prospering and my dad telling me that working hard paid off...which it seemed wasn't true under Carter (before my time)

Bush 1: moron

Clinton:  felt like America was top dog again.  Felt like he was a political genius.  Didn't agree with some of his stances, but it did feel like he knew what he was doing as president.

GWB:  moron.  Felt like his supporters were much bigger morons though

Obama:  moron.  Feel like his supporters are even bigger morons.  The whole presidency is just confusing...why people adore him...why people invest so much energy in defending him, etc.

TL:DR; Reagan and Clinton good.  Everyone else bad.

Economy flourished under both, have something to do with it? Also, we're probably close in age, though I do vaguely remember Ford in office.

Oh yeah...this is a very unscientific approach.  I was just interested in hearing other opinions on the topic
