SANFORD, Fla., Dec. 16 (UPI) -- Bidding on eBay for a signed painting of an American flag by stand-your-ground shooter George Zimmerman was just shy of $100,000 Monday night.
The top bid at 10 p.m. EST was $99,966. A total of 101 bids had been registered for the 18- by 24-inch painting, done in shades of blue with some of the wording from the Pledge of Allegiance since it was put up for sale on the Internet auction site Saturday.

The eBay bid posting states: "First hand painted artwork by me, George Zimmerman. Everyone has been asking what I have been doing with myself. I found a creative, way to express myself, my emotions and the symbols that represent my experiences. My art work allows me to reflect, providing a therapeutic outlet and allows me to remain indoors :-) I hope you enjoy owning this piece as much as I enjoyed creating it. Your friend, George Zimmerman."

Orlando, Fla., cable television station News 13 reported Zimmerman's brother, Robert Zimmerman Jr., confirmed the painting is the real deal.

George Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch volunteer, became known worldwide after he fatally shot an unarmed, black teenager, Trayvon Martin, in a gated community in Sanford, Fla., in 2012. He said he shot Martin in self-defense and was acquitted.

 I just looked at the painting is listed again as "new listing" with a price tag of $0.99 on it.  But if you click on the listing then it says $999.00  Nothing about the $99,966 amount.  I am pretty sure that either of two things have occurred here :

1 - the highest bidder is just fucking around and getting the amount up with no intentions of paying.
2 - the painting was bought by a dealer immediately for a low figure and then relisted for a higher amount once the news hit the internet.

Either case, George isn't going to make much off it himself.  Though I will admit when I saw it, the art skill was beyond what I would have thought he was capable of.  Dude has some potential if he can get some guidance in the right direction with it.

It's actually a pretty good deal.  It will be worth millions after Zimmerman is shot and killed if you think about it.

Not to sound like a conspiracy theorist but sometimes I wonder if the long term strategy of allowing mass immigration is to breed out blacks in urban areas and cause urban conflict.  Black/Hispanic violence is pretty serious whenever the two groups live in close proximity.  I wonder why blacks don't consider this.  To busy hating whites to see the forest through the trees?

A few months ago I heard a female black activist voice a similar concern when she stated that America was now in love with Hispanics and had pushed blacks asided. That as a nation, they were forgetting about the condition of the black community and more concerned with pleasing Hispanics.
