Yes, this video is real, nothing fake about this footage.  When you kick at a animal and make threatening gestures towards it, it will attack.

I hate stray cats, I was in gran canaria once eating lunch with the missis, a cat jumped up on the table an started hissing bearing its teeth at her to push her away from her food (clearly it had done this many time) I couldn't believe the Gaul I punched it square in the face. As it hit the ground dizzy but still hissing I gave it a big boot and it landed in the pool.
Everyone laughed as it had been doing this and clawing at kids eating.  The woman's mistake was backing off.
