If you were in Corsica you were near Calvi, one of the training camps of FL (parachute).
I'm 45 miles South-East of Milano, Bordighera is a nice coast town, warm in winter and with friendly people (well, we almost all are in Italy).
Stay away from pussies around Stazione Centrale of Milano, unless you're searching for a collection of STD lolz

Trofeo 2 Torri is a nice and well organized competition, been there many times, also because it's just half an hour from where I live.
Scuola dei Gladiatori was the ancient HIT method I believe
