There is already a plugin for these type of boards called a multiple login detector.  There are ways around it, but it works very well.

I used to find this board amusing but didn't quite get Getbig until I smoked a really good joint.

I too am ace at detecting gimmicks.  I'll join in on the gimmick detector thread.  Ron would probably agree that it must be done?  Your timeout thingy doesn't work.  Sometimes it's 3 new idiots signing up on the same night who are all the same person.

I recognise gimmicks by the way they post, sometimes it's hilarious: a gimmick will talk to each of his other personas.  
Often it's funny, but it can get scary.
