Because he is about to choke again in the playoffs.
Dungy? I'm a Dungy fan but Peyton took the Colts to the Superbowl with that chucklehead coach after Dungy retired. Then he came out with back to back 13 win seasons with a completely new team and a completely different coach. It's true that he should have more than the 1 Superbowl win but Manning can't make kicks for the kicker. He can't stop the other team from scoring. He can't defend Ravens wide receivers on deep routes. He is one person.
I contend that Manning does more for his team than any QB. It really doesn't seem to matter who the coach is, who the offensive coordinator is, what team he's on, who is injured, etc. The dude is a machine. Teams that win a shit ton of Superbowls usually have a coach and a system in place that contribute to the team success more than any one player. SF won the SB with Montana and Young. Giants won with Simms and Hostetler, Redskins won with Williams and Rypien. The Pats may not have won a Superbowl without Brady but he missed a whole year and the team went 11-5. No team that Manning has ever played on would be able to do that. If Manning doesn't play, his team takes a shit, that's just reality.
