I wish I had more space , it's a two car garage but I have to live one side open for the wife's car .

If you want to neglect your body that's up to you.......cars are for driveways, training is for garages.

$0, the time it takes to walk to my garage.  It rivals some of the best at home setups.  I've been building it one piece at a time over the last 10 years.  Craigslist is my friend come spring time when most people buy new things in Jan and never use it.
where are your pics? you talk a big talk

my gym fees are $39 and $49 per month.  but whatever you joined at in the past is what you pay.   people who signed up in 1992 for $14 and $19 per month still pay that.

So many gyms around here are scams and rip offs.  Long-term contracts, up-front fees, joining fees, cancellations fees, hidden fees, underqualified and overweight personal trainers, and so on.

They're just preying on naive fat people.  Greedy cnuts.

I am a member of Nautilus Plus in Oregon City and Milwaukie Oregon. I've been a member here for almost 30 years during which time the gym has changed ownership three times. I pay $220 a year for my membership. http://nautilusplusoc.com/

That is so cool. Most will say it's not business sense but I bet you are happy and people appreciate it.

ya, it doesn't make sense to have members paying $19 per month, but they have been with me for over 21 years.   actually, I have over 100 members that joined the first year and are still members.  and the word of mouth I get from the long term loyal members is invaluable.

This is my idea of a true business. Wish more would have your mindset.

believe me, a lot of those members have even offered to pay more. they say they wouldn't mind.  but it's just one of the things that distinguishes me from the franchises with their annual inflationary  clauses. I made a commitment that I would never increase a single members dues.

there is the pure mathematical practical way of measuring value; then there are the intangibles that can't be measured on a calculator or balance sheet.

I have membership at 2 gyms on at home, one closer to work.

£25/$40 per month for a I've trained at for 22/23 years. Once hardcore, now less so but still a good selection of plates, dumbells and machines, not too much cardio equipment.

£11/$18 per month for a 24 hour gym that opened in December. Bags of cardio stuff, good machines (except for the leg machines which are useless, don't even have a standing calf!)

Free. My place of work has a completely furnished gym to include cardio equipment. Then about 1.5 miles away I have access to another fitness warehouse/ghetto crossfit box that has tons of bumper plates, oly bars, gymnastic rings, and squat stands. 25 yards away is a running track. 8)

I pay $0.00. My employer (a university) just added 50,000 sq ft to the fitness center. Three levels, indoor running track, machines etc. On the lower floor is the hardcore area, free weights, LOTS of hammer strength. Plus a employee only area with all the machines and dumbells and a smith machine and cardio. I am very lucky and very grateful to my Employer for this perk!!!
