Anibol Lopez actually complimented my physique on Facebook,I was stunned!  :D

Love the early pics of Boyer Funk....he was friggin` impressive.
only saw boyer in person once in the late 70's he was in allentown for the anual big show MR  LV.

He was 20 Rick,he was a guest poser a few weeks before the britain show,the pic above that one shows him placing 2nd to Ian Dowe,he won it the next year.Heres another pic from that guest spot.

I have all the old 'Muscle & Co.", 'Sport & Review', 'Bodybuilding Monthly', 'Bodypower', 'Strength & Health', and 'Health and Strength' mags, as well as many 'Europe' versions of Flex, Muscle and Fitness and Muscle Mag International.

skinned rabbit!!!

I read once that Casey trained so hard for the grand prix events at the beginning of the season that by Olympia time he burnt out and turned catabolic.   made sense when I was a kid , but now not sure.

Same with Flex , the spring shows he was dead on come the Olympia he was spent

I only saw him once in Worcester Mass.

I`ve told this story before,but I`m gonna` tell it again dammit!  :D

Well when I spotted Boyer he had on a black Golds Gym warm up suit..looked pathetically small to me.

I went backstage,and when I saw him take off that suit,it was like he literally gained 100 pounds of sculpted muscle.

He was big,thick,legs like columns of marble,insane calf development along with those famous split peaked biceps.

The memory of watching him pose still inspires me to this day...he was in incredible shape and literally looked like a piece of living sculpture.

I think Jeff King had a brother with a very similar build to Jeff
