It sucks. After the recession it really went down and people now venture to tynemouth up the coast. Or stay in. A lot of the old bars are being converted to flats

its a shame was really great night out around ten years ago. Seen pier 39 was being converted.Last time i was at tynemouth market in the summer i couldnt believe how busy the bars were on front street especially for midday on a sunday.

the small town i live has seen just over half its pubs shut in the last 5 years, there was a time ten years ago like you said and thusday friday or saturday it would be packed. Even the comunity centre bar had door staff it was so busy.Its a real shame whats happened to uk nightlife.
