He sucked as governor of Florida-I lived there during his tenure for a while, couldn't stand it. His familia ruined the economy twice. He can suck a lemon. No more Bushes.

Thanks dude, good insight.

Does he stand a chance?

After Bush, the pendulum swung way too far back to the left with Brobama. We knew it was going to happen. Now it's overly exaggerated political correctness, totalism and socialism. If Brobama passes immigration reform and give amnesty to millions of Mexicanos who will all vote democrat, we're fucked. But if not,

Who is fucked, Republicans and the Tea Party?

Oh that's right, you live in California which is once again "Spanish" territory.

he was very friendly to gun owners, but yeah, the economy did take some serious stinks in that period.  It's decent these days once again.  People are still broke, but houses are selling again, construction has restarted all over.

it was surreal for 3-4 years... ZERO construction.  Half the houses on my block were in foreclosure, grass overgrown, big locks on doors.  People were living in empty houses worth $250,000.   Just mind boggling.  It's changing now.  Rent going back up for people.  Trash people moving back out.  I don't blame Jeb a lot, I don't credit Scott a lot... I dunno, I used to follow national politics way more than state.

The Dems better hope Hillary runs.  If Cruz or Paul get the Rep nomination, she wins by a landslide.

Ah yes, just what we need - a white version of Obama with a mild social conservative leaning.

Fantastic, great work GOP.

Right next to the Peoples' Republic of Santa Monica.

Didn't know that and don't blame him  ;D

Such a demographic change as proposed by Brobama doesn't make you uneasy?

Guess which President presided over the most deportations in U.S. history?  Obama, you simpleton.

This country should only vote democrat especially because they have done so much for the down trodden and minority groups. Dems are all for taking care of those poor souls that are struggling. One only needs to look to LBJs compassionate quote.."we'll give those niggros enough handouts they will be voting democrat for the next 200 years."

Well don't feel like California is alone.  Oregon, where I live, has an ever growing Latino population. 99% of the gardeners/landscapers in my neighborhood are Latino as are most of the food service and construction workers. The Latino folks I've done business with have done a good job at a fair price. I have no personal negative experiences. But then, there is no gang activity that I know of in West Linn. Parts of Hillsboro and Gresham are a different story altogether.

You're maybe just getting the first generation, the good, hard working bunch. Their kids and grandkids will fall far from the tree, watch.

I might be too old to be around to see what happens with second and third generation Latino immigrants. Maybe things will change. When I was a kid living in Beverly Hills and later Encino, CA, the gardeners were mostly Asian. They were like master gardeners. Asians, for the most part, have fully integrated as contributing members of American society over the last several generations. The U.S. has always been a melting pot with people immigrating from all over the world. Some do people better than others.

Very true. Asians own homes, businesses, highly value family and educations, the core of why they're so successful and integrated. Some latinos, not so much, many even 2nd generation don't speak english, absent fathers, don't value education.

The worse part is, especially in California, the democrats promote a fruit salad, not a melting pot. It serves them better this way when comes election time.

Go to a check cashing place on a friday. If you can spot a jew or an asian, I'll give you $1000.

Generations ago, most people had little good to say about the Irish or the Italian immigrants. Eventually, they blended in and one of them eventually became a U.S. President. I remember that JFK being Catholic was a big deal and not necessarily looked on as such a good thing.

Don't know about check cashing places because I've never used one. Aren't they for people who don't have bank accounts? Payday loan outfits were outlawed in Oregon, I believe.
