I don't think anyone can deny that a person is simply born with certain "preferences". This applies to all things in life. I just happen to love chocolate and slim women. It is incomprehensible to me that I have a friend that hates chocolate and likes hefty, if not down right fat, women. Some guys are sexually attracted to men. Some are attracted to prepubescent children.

The issue is not what your innate propensities are but whether or not you act on them. For a man to be naturally attracted to other men may not be "cured" in the sense that you can just simply flip a switch and turn it off. Whether or not he acts on it is a choice. Just like there are some for religious or spiritual reasons choose to be chaste (not to be confuse with the often misused word "celibate").

This is not to imply that I don't think gay people shouldn't act on their desires. That's a separate issue entirely.

I missed this post. But this is correct and very insightful. Environmental influences and experience can develop and cultivate a person's taste and preferences. And the more "normal", common and acceptable a certain behavior becomes the more you will see of it. And, again, this applies to all things. And due to various outside influences a person's taste and attraction can change through the years. Just like when I first saw Pumping Iron as a kid. They all pretty much looked the same to me. I couldn't figure out how anyone could tell who was better than the other. Only after years of experience and education was I able to see the differences in the physiques.  

But Tbombz, I don't get this notion that nobody is born with a sex drive. Maybe not at birth but it is latent in normal human beings. And it doesn't really develop over time.
