Why is anabolichalo being permitted to post endless threads about a girlfriend and child who don't exist?
Ok, here's my take...
Gimmicks are part of every forum. That is undeniable and just part of the online experience. Hell, I'm willing to bet many of you know many real life gimmicks that you encounter on a day-to-day. You know the type, you see them and you're dying to tell them to simply cut the facade, exhale and be real for once in their lives.
AnabolicHalo has provided a decent amount of evidence showing that he is indeed the person behind his stories. He posted pictures of himself with his wife and child. He also posted up pictures of a sign that had GetBig written on it (Not the generic shit you can create with a website or through photoshop) and placed that sign immediately next to his child and then next to his arm. For all intensive purposes, if anyone goes through the hassle of showing us all of that, even if he were still a gimmick, I will give him the benefit of the doubt based on his efforts alone.
Aside from establishing that he is a real person, he
DOES post a lot of shit that has nothing to do with bodybuilding or the industry. A thread or two once in a while is fine. It starts to become a problem when he posts up shit about his baby mama every fucking day. I can tolerate the stupid shit about getting all the girls once he achieves 18-inch arms (it's childish, but I consider it worse when others here, that are much smarter, bite into the bait and perpetuate the stupidity). If he made 10 threads a day that garnered no responses, it would be very simple to just nuke them all in a single swoop of the mouse, but since many of you reply to his threads, I let them stand for a bit.
What I always do, at least once every other day, is go through the G&O board (the first 4-5 pages) and if I see more than 2 of his threads present, I will merge them together. There are exceptions. If there are 2-3 quality threads created by him, I will let them stand, as it is only fair. If they are the usual baby mama drama crap or the picking up mami's in the club with his 17-inch pythons, I will just merge away.
It's a delicate balance, but I have to be fair. For as much as many people find him annoying, guess what he isn't doing:
(1) Threatening to harm anyone
(2) Exposing members
(3) Stalking our members' immediate family
(4) Spamming the site with products or links to another site
(5) Posting racist material
(6) Posting pictures of Kai Greene butt naked while riding a skateboard
Due to the fact that being annoying isn't grounds for a banning or time out, he shall remain. At the very least, his threads will be consolidated if deemed worthy of such action.
