For all the heavy caffeine users, try giving caffeine up for a week. Only then can you see how much it fukcs up your system...The reason people who use it think they need it is because if they stop for even a day, they go through withdrawal. Withdrawals that can be as bad as a lot of hard core drug withdrawals...The body needs two months to get to where it can regulate itself without caffeine. Many people just can't handle the withdrawal from it and continue to use thinking it helps them. After two months straight off of caffeine and you will see that its a total sham...

Giving it up is incredibly moronic as it is one of the most beneficial substances for humans.  Not only does it protect against several types of cancers, it improves brain function and nearly ensures a healthy brain well into old age combating against dementia, Alzheimer etc...  There are only negatives to not ingesting caffeine.  Only a moron would stop.

I think the only negative of coffee is that it stains your teeth (no homo)

I could drink coffee all day though.... tastes great, good for you, makes you more alert and productive.  No downsides really, it's almost too good to be true

I drink two cups every morning and sometimes I will drink another if I meet up with my girlfriends. Anyway so I decided to give it up completely a few months ago. I substituted with natural cocoa. I went back to coffee after I almost threw that cocoa at the wall one day.

I used to get caffeine headaches so bad, that I would get Pepsi during the weekends to ease it. And then I would wean myself off of coffee using Yerba Mate.

I drank a lot of coffee during my first two comps as well as fat burners containing caffeine  and I experienced terrible withdrawals for weeks and weeks.

If I go for long periods without it,I get those "caffein headaches" like Parker mentioned.

Therefore,I don`t leave home without it.  :)

Anyone try this "bulletproof coffee" thing I read about?

Basically a tablespoon of butter and tablespoon of MCT-oil in your coffee.

Van,it could be that coffee has saved my liver from being damaged.

I`ve been drinking coffee forever.

I also drank heavily and did lots of rec drugs off and on for years..more booze than drugs  but my share of drugs were also ingested.

Couple that with gear use for many years...nothing too exhoribitant, but at times dosages were high for periods.

Anyway, recently had blood work done and my liver values were excellent,so I`m thankful for that.

reaches for coffee cup and smiles
