The engine?

hm, no turbo charger, no centrifugal supercharger, but under that cover could be a roots type supercharger :D

this intake manifold looks unusual for naturaly aspirated engine

its NA. Thats direct injection.

nah i def thinkt hat intake manifold has a roots charger under it,much like the zr1 these days.

the only doubt i have is bc itd be a very flat sc.

and i dont see a sc belt assembly, this is weird, but look at the screws holding the manifold in plac, those are there to kkep it air ithgt, not just an na engine cover imo.

maybe they cant but got a loan nonetheless, lol.

exactly...so I guess Monday, unless they leak more out on Sunday. You both could be right, direct injection supercharged engine?

well yeah, direct port or direct injection(making it bbuilding related) engines have been standard ever since carburators ;D ;D

the bolts you see are holding the top of the plenum on. They have blowers that small and flat. Typically the Zo6 has been NA but if theh are going FI then thats what youre seeing. Its possible theyre using a huge plenum on the manifold but it is more likely it is a blower as youve said.

yah, if it were NA , the ptimal intake runner lenght and design would look very different.

yeah those bolts outsode the cover(not the 4 in the middle area lol)are a give away.

also the thing with red letters on it looks like fi fuel rail.

so.if its not dohc, then its some flat sc ;D

i dont see how else theyd make 700hp from that displacement.

its doable, we made 770 from a NA 430ci LS7 based engine. As far as the runner length, we had a motor that the runners disappeared into a plenum that ran from valve cover to valve cover just like the top of that motor. There is a train of thought that the plenum should be as big as you can possibly make it without interfering with the runners, so it wouldnt suprise me if GM was trying out some trick shit, especially witb the new direct injection manifolds and how funky they look.

but I think youre right, I think thats a blower akin to the ones thwy had on the LSA....

yeah but has to be street legal and meet the communist euro specs etc.

cant have those superlong intake runners and wild idle cam etc.

we agree ,that design doesnt look high rpm screamer type engine, lol and STILL is single camshaft in the block ;D

exhaust manifolds look restrictive btw

hm you see that aluminium holding structure on the left?whats that for?

oh and on the right, thats the air intake pice?right?

since its a single piece, and dont look very huge, this points to sc too.

beautiful engine 8)

touche on the euro emission specs.

Left side is probably the alternator bracket, looks like the AC compressor underneath it, right side youre probably referring to the throttle body.. there is a couple hoses and lines running over the TB that have me kind of puzzled. .. but without looking at it more closely, its imoossible to tell.

I think it may be magnusson blower, or something similar.
