i can say that he is going mass market instead of isolating a smaller target group. Going to cost a lot more to run commercials on MSNBC, FOX, and CBS in the same day, than to just aim for a certain demo. They must figure that fat people watch all of these channels.
My style is niche- find one group and use more resources on less people, with a higher rate of return than shotgun advertising, where you pitch flyers into a crowd and hope to get lucky.
Basedow is probably doing pretty well, though. Low overhead operation.
