Mutant signed that Klaus guy from bb.com and has had Ron Partlow (top5 CANADIAN nationals for like a decade). They aren't a top firm. Jackson is side by side with Rich Piano now

This makes sense to me. I haven't bought a BB mag since '08, but from just skimming though a Flex a few weeks back I could see a change in the marketing direction...primarily fitness & physique over bodybuilding.
