right? Sherman just got a ring and all 240 can say is 'if hes smart hed quit now'

Its almost sad

He's super bowl champ.  He might be injured and he doesn't have a guaranteed contract.

IF he is injured, and IF he realizes he will only be average, he can retire at the TOP of his game, with a super bowl WIN, and he a total WINNER.   Or, in two years, we can see him in a super bowl commercial, having washed out of the league, mocking his own inability to get a tryout at camp... all while Crabtree is catching the game-winner in the Super Bowl.

At the very least, would you agree, IF he is injured, and IF he will only be average... it would be a smart move?   I still believe IF tebow had done this - retired on top - he would be a much bigger media star today.

dude. Eat your humble pie? Stfu, and move on. Youre going to look extra stupid if Sherman comes back from the injury )that you dont even no how bad it is) to be a HOF CB.

No, I'd look stupid if I said I was sure he was going to be average.  I said I'm sure he's fine, and this is only IF he is injured and HE believes he will be an average player.

I admitted he's a smart dude, a master of his position and might play ten years.  But IF he's injured, I'd hate to see him take the tebow route, when he could go out on top.  Dude won the Super Bowl.  He's the best at what he does.

99.9% of the NFL players don't have the look, IQ & charisma to become 20-year sportscasters.  Sherman does.

Tebow caught a nice little sweet spot.

momentum was on his side, emotions were high, he was the story of the season.  He got hella lucky on some games, he caught defenses off guard with his style.  He was fresh and excited and nobody knew how to handle him.

Now?   Today, defenses know to cover their man, force him to run right, where he throws against his body (slowly) and is hella inaccurate.  A couple more hits and he'll slow down. His confidence starts sliding and he'll go 3-13.

He had a cool run.  As someone mentioned, faking an injury and starting a career as a spokesman, endorses, or politics would be the way to go.  He plays out 2 more years, and it'll be a year of decline in Denver followed by being cut and fighting with Pryor for 2nd on the Raiders depth chart.

better to realize the weakness, smile at the position he's in, and scoot into the next step in life.  use his huge recognition for causes way beyond football.  He'll be set for life on $ with a year of that - someone would give him $5 mil to speak for a year, and then he can dedicate his life to something he's good at, really making a difference.

I wrote this TWO years ago.   I said Tebow should retire on top - and not spend 2 years sucking, getting cut, and begging the Raiders for a backup slot.

And I'm writing it for Sherman today.  IF he rest, heals, and is 100%, then yes, come back and have a HOF career.
BUT if he's 90% at best when he returns - He should surprise everyone and retire. He CAN BE one of the best sports media people, and he can do it for 30 more years.  However, if injured, he cannot be the best at his position, and in 2 years, will be just another flash in pan average player.  If he's not 100%, I think he'd be smart to realize he'll never be hotter in the NFL (top of game + SB win + defeated manning + went out as the "bad guy" who actually won).... and to jump to media and just start kicking ass there.

bacon ranch goes well with the popcorn shrimp.

Wow! Wanted the Seahawks to win, but wanted a good game.  This was one of the worst games I have seen in a long time.

I stopped watch 12 seconds into the second half, and recorded the rest, which later on watched faster. Even the commercials were boring, and the good ones, will watch later on on Youtube.

Oh well..

The best commercial was the Bud Light Commercial - the unedited one that is on You Tube, not the freaking cut one they was eh

True, the only ones going home broke are the ones that bet on Denver.

anyone know the betting odds of the open play being a safety? I know vegas has all sorts of side bets like this.  I'm pretty sure $100 on a suckers bet like that would have netted someone big bucks.

Dont agree.. I think Seattlites look at the 05 team with rose colored glasses.... They weren't all that great. the 05 team had to play perfect all game to win... this team can fuck up, and still come back second half and roll over extremely talented teams.

Hasselbeck was a mediocre QB at best, and if his mind was even just a little off, he sucked ass. Wilson has much better composure and potential IMHO. And the D is no where close IMHO... corners on this team are on a whole nother level..., neither is the running game... Shaun A saw a player about to hit him, instant dive and submarine. Lynch puts his head down and runs over the opponent.

Don't you remember how often our D back then would go into prevent and we'd watch the opponent overcome a 20+ point deficit in the 4th quarter and win? So frustrating.

But yeah... the SB was BS... you know it's BS when the NFL publically apologizes for the officiating. Lol.

Just don't tell Earl that, he'll start melting down all over the place that his precious Stealers may have been handed a gift.

Oh well, such is life.

yeah "such is life" having excuses when you lose and not being a man and admitting you lost to somebody superior

did the refs cause your kicker to miss two field goals?
did the refs cause your tight end to drop 4 passes that hit him on the numbers?
did the refs cause holmgren to mismanage the clock?
did the refs cause your defense to give up the longest touchdown run in super bowl history by willie parker?
did the refs cause your defense to fall for a gimmick play by antwann randle el?

even after your team wins the super bowl you clowns are still talking about the beat down you got 8 friggin years ago, steelers will own your minds for life

how about the fact that the same steelers team got back to two more super bowls and won one and almost won the other while the seahawks team from 05 faded into obscurity?  no they couldn't possbly have been the better team ::)

the refs got tons of death threats from your fans so yeah it's probably normal to have regrets, the nfl admitted to making mistakes in the nfc title game against the 49ers yet you have nothing to say about that

congrats on the win, 1 - 1 in the super bowl

good luck getting back after wilson, sherman, thomas and a bunch of other guys get their big contracts along with not having top early draft picks

that's the NFL rule man....the guy is only in his second year...you don't wanna throw a $13 million/year on a rookie that hasn't prove himself yet....typical NFL rookie quarterbacks need 2 years to develop themselves, well, there are exceptions, but rookies get the minimum wage...I'm sure if Wilson keeps improving, after next year, seahawks will throw some Big Greens at him for sure......Big Ben was in his sophmore season when he won his first superbowl too

in other words you have no response to the facts i just pointed out

seahawks were actually penalized more yesterday than they were in 05, you didn't notice because you were actually playing an inferior team

i also think the 05 seahawks team had a better offense than this years team, hasselbeck was a pro bowl quarterback, shaun alexander was the mfl mvp running for about 1900 yards, the o line was much stronger too with walter jones and a couple other pro bowlers

this years defense was better
