Each service has its role, and is all volunteer since 1975.

I was aware of the antipathy between the Marines and Navy.  I was not aware of the antipathy internally within the Marines between the subsets.  Such as the aforementioned "Air Wingers."

its a calling. I scored a 92 on my ASVAB with an extremely high GT score and demanded infantry. Its not something you can explain to people, they just dont understand.
