My wife & I did a monster 15 consecutive weeks in Europe last year ... a month in Italy, a month in Spain, 3 weeks in France, and the rest of the trip blitzing other European highlights like Amsterdam, Bruges, Prague, Krakow, Budapest, Vienna, Munich, scenic Swiss trains etc. ... And for me, Spain's the #1 place in Europe i'd return to.

But we escape the Canadian winters every year to live in Colombia.  And so Medellin (where I am now) is my favourite place to be for at least Dec, Jan, & Feb.

Mykonos, my parents has a home out there so I nip over when I can. It the most beautiful of the Greek Isles by FAR in my opinion.

Failing that, I have a lot of time (decreasing though) for Scandinavia. Or southern Poland. I envy people living comfortable lives in southern Poland. It's so beautiful there that I'm making serious plans living there at least once in my life.

Population Density

I think europe gets a special bonus because there's lots of different stuff to take pictures of. For better or worst north america has very little unique sights outside of the downtowns of a few cities. Europe is plastered with old shit to photograph. And of course if it were simply based on just taking photo's for no apparent reason, Asia would of burnt out the LEDS in your monitor.
