how do you know people aren't trying to stop this? most dog lovers care more about dogs and try to help dogs far more than people, how does somebody not love dogs if they love their companionship?
so some people use dogs to make money at any cost of the dogs health, so that means all dog lovers are the same? why do you always think the worst of EVERYBODY?
i worked in a kennel that bred poodles and golden retrievers when i was in high school, i saw inbreeding and dogs being locked in cages where they could barely stand up, it was sickening and they were shut down
a police dog in my city named Rocco was killed last week by a violent child molester, his service is tomorrow and hundreds if not thousands of strangers will be attending the service for this alpha dog, thousand of dollars have been donated
they are not comparable to farm animals no farm animal is a loving and loyal pet like a dog, not to mention dogs can be trained to hunt animals, guard a home, sniff out drugs or bad guys, guide the blind, pull a sled etc the list goes on and on
what other animal does these things? good people see value in a dogs life, bad dogs are the result of scum bag humans

how do you know people aren't trying to stop this? Because millions of dogs continue to be destroyed each year. The only way to stop the suffering is to get rid of the pet industry, but Dog Nutters would never allow that, their need to OWN a dog and pretending it is because they love them would never allow that. It's not that hard to STOP doing something, you simply STOP. But people continue to demand companion dogs, so the killing will continue until people decide they care more about the suffering of the dogs than their own perverse DESIRE to enslave one for companionship purposes.
You can't claim to love dogs but then support an industry that ensures millions of them will be killed. Like I said, if that's what you call LOVE, I hate to see what you consider HATE. The whole pet industry is sickening, and those naive do-gooders who promote and support it are equally sick. Telling yourselves you are rescuing and helping animals when in fact you are the cause of their suffering. It's like some perverted form of Munchausen by Proxy Syndrome, create an industry built on animal suffering all so bleeding heart morons can have something to care about. Stop pointing the finger at others cleaning up your mess, it is you and other people like you who support the pet industry that are responsible for animal suffering, not those who have no choice but to fix the problem people like you create.
Naively suggesting that dogs are some type of saints when they also cost communities millions of dollars, they maim, maul and kill children and adults, they spread disease and the effect other peoples right to the quiet enjoyment of their neighborhoods. Even their shit is non-recyclable and can't be used to fertilize gardens the way other non meat eating animals feces can. If you genuinely care about animals why don't you do something to lessen the More Than 150 Billion Animals Slaughtered Every Year all because they taste good, including the ones killed to feed your dogs. Oh, that's right, other animals don't provide you with some twisted type of companionship because you failed at finding 1 human being out of 7 billion people to relate effectively to.
And I don't think the worst of everybody, just most people. The average person is a brainwashed sheep, bleating out the same nonsense as the mainstream does. That's what caused the world to become the fucked up mess it currently is. I tend to despise dog lovers more than the average person, they have some skewed interpretation of what love is, they don't even question the ethics or morality of domesticating dogs and cats in the first place. Changing a majestic wild animal, independent and free into a dependent animal incapable of fending for itself with no natural habitat is just another of humanities shameful deeds made worse by considering them commodities, breeding them to excess and then destroying the excess. And all for the sake of providing companions for societies social morons who can't find companionship among their peers or be content with their own company. At least when dogs where bred for utility it could be justified, but to anthropomorphise dogs and treat them as children, friends and companions is pretty twisted, and typical of the fucked up things affluent societies are drawn to.
