Why does Boehner appear to be doing the right thing for once?

U.S. House Speaker John Boehner now says immigration reform is stalled because Obama needs to *Prove* he is serious about enforcing existing laws.

Last week Boehner released a Republican list of preferred points that did in fact emphasize enforcement of laws over any tweeking that would allow for illegals to stay here and somehow be "legal".

Immigrant rights groups were stunned at the reversal and warned of drastic electoral consequences among Hispanic voters if Republicans refuse to act.

CNN released a poll Thursday that suggests voters care more about granting citizenship to illegal immigrants than they do about boosting border security.

CNN released a poll Thursday that suggests voters care more about granting citizenship to illegal immigrants than they do about boosting border security.

The poll:
The poll was conducted for CNN by ORC International from Jan. 31-Feb. 2, with 1,010 adults nationwide questioned by telephone.


Who exactly did they poll? What is their political affiliation or ethnic background?

I don't believe that poll. How can any American care more about citizenship for illegals than securing the border?

Because they accept that mass deportation will never take place so they want the "illegals" that are here to pay taxes and otherwise legitimately contribute to this nation of ours?

People, sometimes even the majority of people, can have some crazy thoughts and entertain some screwy notions.  For instance, I've heard that most people in the USA really believe in an infallible magic sky-wizard who cares about them.  Bwahaha.  Can you believe that shit?
