I don't have huge legs by any stretch, but if you actually just train them they'll normally get to a pretty appreciable size, especially on gear. Legs blow up with any amount of volume, but I don't think people should go ham and get quads that are as big as a normal person's waist.
I don't bother training for quad size anymore. Doing stepper and two lighter leg workouts a week keep mine at a great size with lots of cuts. I wouldn't want any larger quads. It's so tough finding a good pair of jeans when you have ridiculously sized quads. They don't even look any better.
