I can't remember the last time I did bi's. I do triceps, but bi's seem to get a workout with back. I actually hate doing them.

An ongoing dilema...probably why they came up with the double split....
Double split would work if you have no other life what so ever  :(

So on a 'push' day I guess you could hit chest in the morning and delts/tri's later that night
'Pull'day..... back in the morn and bi's/traps at night....pull your chain before bed .
Just a couple examples...endless combinations.
If your bulking and don't have any cardio days in there, I think its easier schedule wise....

I don't like my arms (just a smidge under 18" cold at 250lbs). They need more size so I don't spare the horses when it comes to whipping them.

Depends...if you do dips/close grip bench for triceps, then you can get away with only doing 2-3 exercises on chest day.

Plus, each bodypart gets hit twice a week so you'll have to drop the volume of each workout down.

best results seem to come from 4 days split

See...I don't think so.

Since I started training this way about a year ago, my arms have gained 1/4 inch. That's a lot more results for me than I've had in a long time.

I used to powerlift, so I rarely trained arms, and that, I can tell you, did not help. The lack of stimulation didn't seem to improve the shape or size of my arms...they were as small as they'd ever been, though plenty strong.

In fact, my biceps look the best they ever have, and I'm hitting them about 3x/week if you count my back workouts. But my triceps are lagging behind...maybe I need to train them more.

I honestly don't really buy into the assertion that I'm overtraining. Sorry. I work a desk job in an office...there's no way that what I do in the gym, including my day to day life, is so stressful that I can't recuperate from it. I add in 2x/week jiu jitsu practices, and honestly, I don't think I'm anywhere close to overtraining.

When I was doing three-a-days in college and lifting in the evenings during August for training camp in football...now that was close to overtraining, but I still recuperated and got stronger and faster.

Lifting weights in a gym is, relative to training camp, a joke. If I were only eating 500 calories/day, maybe. But I eat enough.

I'm one of the bigger guys here and I haven't done a traditional "arm day" in years. It doesn't warrant it's own day because it doesn't produce a big enough metabolic effect due to the comparably small muscles being worked. A few sets after chest or back is sufficient.

Remember, I am one of the bigger guys here. My advices are only for the advanced physique athlete. Normal/average men will not grasp this concept.

Maybe the smaller posters are not generating sufficient DOMS in their arms to achieve quasi-permanent inflammation of the myofascia.  This can be caused by doing curls with too much elbow support.  Vince Basile has written extensively on these topics.
