you would be sleepy all the time on a vegetable diet i bet fatloss would be good you would probably sleep 16 hours a day for two weeks then slowly work back into normal amount of sleep and be pretty lean after two weeks, but theres no way in hell youll be doing much of anything at the start of the diet

Voevoda carries quite a lot of muscle. Is also a total powerhouse in strength:

how did you conclude that when this is what was written, makes no sense either way shitty english

- Now I’ve switched to adequate food species, academician Alexander Ugolev described in the book “The Theory and nutrition and trophic ecology” (1991). I herbivorous and carnivorous, and frugivorous. So I do not eat meat, and drink the fruits, vegetables, and fruits. In winter, eat meals on the water. After the transition to a vegetarian diet, I feel better, stressoutoychivost increased, increased speed and strength. The fact that the microflora, which synthesizes hormones, prohormones, gives us all free. You just need to eat the right foods, among which the meat is not included.

There's a youtube vid out there in English. Micro flora synthesizes hormones? What kind of tomfoolery is this?

I believe it. Vegetables are an amazing, overlooked and underrated fountain of nutrition, supplying basically everything necessary for both health and strength

Was watching a few clips of Russian arm-wrestling legend and Olympic bobsleigh gold medallist Alexey Voevoda and when it came to his diet, I found it hard to believe. Voevoda has been a vegan for a few years and claims his diet consists off:

Breakfast - Water
Lunch - Vegetables
Dinner - Vegetables & Fruit

Also claims to fast on Mondays:

During this interview, he claims not to use protein shakes either:

http://www.xsportnews.com/armwrestling/interview-alexey-voevoda-about-armwrestling-and-bobsleigh/

The calories on such a diet will surely be far to low for a top strength athlete and the protein intake will be almost zero. What do you guys think? Possible or BS?
At 6'4ft and +250lbs, Voevoda is a big unit.
OnlyMe, Keith, would have snapped his arm in half.  Onlyme broke that guys arm in Over the Top, the one who drinks motor oil.

How would you describe your nutrition program?
I am not a person inclined to culinary quests, I keep my diet to the most simple ingredients. My staple foods are whole wheat bread, brown rice, oats, and beans. I consume very little soy as I find it very hard to cook and the whole phytosterol controversy makes it suspect for the moment. I do not consume oils per se but I will always include fat containing foods like tahini, olives, avocado, nuts etc. I don't concern myself with calories except making sure I eat enough for the day. Vegetables are a must and always in quantity but I don't really look for the much more expensive organic kind.

So in other words:

Carbs       65%

Protein     20%

Fats         15%

Breakfast:  water.     ??? ::)

WTF?  This guy is taking the piss.  Unless he is eating 30 lbs of tofu as vegetables, i see no protein at all in there.  This guy eats less than Sev and Gal.

This begs the question: If you're doing a large amount of test, do the typical nutritional requirements even apply?

Unless you're on juice, you don't need that much protein.

Our primate cousins grow tons of muscle on a herbivorous diet.

Even 1.5 g per pound of lean bodyweight is too much and its unhealthy.

Give your kidneys a break.

they have different much larger digestive system and eat constantly to meet their protein requirements

They eat a lot more overall, and weight a lot more. What's your point?

I thought we where talking protein here. Point is with the amounts they consume they take in more protein than you think.

say their bamboo/plant/seed/bugs diet contains avg 3% protein. with 18 kilo thats 540g protein...

adults humans that are half their weight can't consume 9 kilo greens. we are not designed for that.
