Yeah especially if your in short term conflicts. As fat as I am, I'd loose a whole lot of leverage if I got down to a healthy weight.

Actually a guy who knows how to use a knife is just as deadly as a guy with a gun close range. It's very hard to draw a gun in time when a guy with a knife is 10 feet away from you. When ever I hear a guy say why didn't you shoot him in the leg he only had a knife doesn't know what the hell he's talking about. Here's a picture of a cop that tried to disarm a guy with a knife. He should have shot him.
