This isn't even remotely news worthy

Disagree.  Man bit dog here.

The way I see it, newsworthy today (with slightly less than 1 billion news sources) ain't the same as the 4 channels and 1 newspaper per city we were stuck with when I was a kid.

This story is more interesting than anything about the Kardashians, anyway.

the only news is that some dipshit politician should have been arrested for violating state and/or federal law regarding concealed carry in govt buildings.

this 'good ol boy' culture is a problem.  Why should people follow the law if our leaders dont?

That was my first thought, shouldnt they have taken this from him when he entered?

It is selective enforcement of the rules, and it's really shady.

Suppose John Doe decides to walk up to this very same govt building in Colorado and ask to see his state rep.  Maybe he even has an appointment.  He jokes with the receptionist that this glock under this shirt is really jabbing his ribs.

he's going to jail.  He doesn't get in that building.  They call police if they even see a bulge.  Yet this lawmaker has probably been carrying for quite a while.

I just don't "get" a system where they carry.  I'm from SW Florida... they are about as hillbilly as one can get while not in Tenn.... and there is security at DMV, school district, courts, even the damn public library.

Yet this fcker is special... he gets to carry a gun with a wink and a nod.   And some people think others in govt should cover up his crime.  unreal.

LOL.

You sure, though?  Cuz doesn't Kim have an artificially augmented ass?

What if she had surgeons give her a dick?  Would "O-twink" want some of that, then?

Does anyone know if he had any major beefs with anyone there?

Could he have been setting up a hit? ...depositing the murder weapon in place in advance of the hit?

Oooh... intriguing.  :o

would anyone here be mad if a teacher just "ignored" state & federal laws and carried a .45 to school?

would anyone here be upset if people smuggled AR-15s into courtrooms in their jackets?

would anyone here be bothered if a visitor carried a 9mm and 300 rounds of ammo into a police station?

Yes, we'd shit our pants, and the person breaking these laws would be in handcuffs before they knew what hit them.

So it's the law... and why should all of us have to follow the law, but this dude doesn't have to?

I'm shocked that 33 said the law he obeys shouldn't apply to this politician... usually he's the first one shitting on politicians who think the laws don't apply to them.

I don't like the law, of course.  Let's be clear there.  I have to leave my glock in the car in order to mail a letter at the post office.  total crap and stupid law.

but it's the law... I gotta follow the law, if I expect others to follow the law.  I don't agree with it, but I follow it.

I'm not defending the law... I'm attacking dipshit politicians who think the law doesn't apply to them.  Maybe this guy also speeds, feeds GHB to teenage runaways, and smuggles dynamite in his rectum... we're okay with all that, right?  cause the law doesn't apply to him, right?

I agree with you 240, they are civil servants not royalty.

Around here, our legislatures exempted themselves of the traffic laws for several days before, and during their session.

BREAKING: Missouri Legislators Vote To Nullify All Federal Gun Control Laws

12 hours ago | Politics, US | Posted by Michael Lotfi

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo., February 21, 2014– A Missouri bill which seeks to nullify virtually every federal gun control measure on the books, “whether past, present or future,” passed the Senate Thursday. SB613 would ban the state from enforcing virtually all federal gun control measures, and includes criminal charges for federal agents attempting to violate the right to keep and bear arms in Missouri.

The measure passed 23-10.
