but was a good documentary.

the dea denies to have given the ok at any particular time

when chapo was in prison, the literaly turned that into a brothel.

but imo escobar went even further, he built a prison for himself and walked in and out whenever he pleased.

That was worth watching for sure.  Best part was having his wife give birth to twins in the US and become citizens!  Gotta wonder how hundreds of tunnels are dug in one small area on the border and the US didn't know..he's paying off people everywhere.

It's scary to think about; but the entire lifestyle of El Chapo and Escobar ect... Is based on one thing: the power of human addiction (to chemicals/drugs). And a MASSIVE public demand for those chemicals.

I see it differently, they exploit the overwhelming individuals human desire to alleviate the misery associated with human life.  Many like to pretend life is wonderful and opportunities for happiness abound, the reality is, life is a grind for most and happiness eludes almost everyone.  People seek respite from the human condition regardless of how fleeting and damaging it may eventually be.

Such a bad guy selling a product people want.  he isn't holding a gun to the head of any buyer telling them to purchase his drugs.  People are willingly lining up to buy his product.  Sure he is a brutal man, but he was just selling a product people want.  It causes less deaths per year than Pharmaceuticals, cigarettes and liquor. You'll never see the CEO of Pfizer in cuffs, nor the cigarette tycoons.

I don't condone recreational drug use, but how is it alcohol is STILL not targeted in a big way, when it is likely the greatest bane to mankind? Think about it.
