The site was a joke. Filled with guys using their age to talk down to younger members. All claiming to have worked out at Golds with arnold and the like. The site had some great photo galleries but that was it. Also if your opinion was not liked by that little idiot Shawn perine then you would get shut down. He could voice his opinion. But if you voiced yours and it was not his then he he would openly reprimand you like a child. The guy is a douche. I was happily banned there.

I don't think Shawn Perine has anything to do with IronaAge no more....he moved to bigger and better things long ago.

So fuckin true. Some of those guys were such blowhards. Practically having conniption if ever a harsh word was uttered against their personal favorites. The Mentzer/HIT crowd was the worst. Agree with just about everything you said. Though I thought Perine did a decent job of running that site.

The site had a lot of good posters. It was a very civil site for the most part. Yes, the HIT crowd there were rabid in their religious support of everything Arthur Jones.  Like I mentioned previously they didn't allow any posts about steroids as if the sport wasn't based on drug use. Also Shawn is an Obama liberal and who ever posted anything remotely supporting conservatives were shut down quick. I did like the way they stopped the bs posters who were just acting like children from trailer parks from posting. Then again some of the funniest posters on getbig are the wackos.

The editors of muscle magazines have always been pawns for the owners and advertisers. Shawn is no different. He can't take a stand against the drugs because the mags need the supplement companies to survive.

As THE BEEF has stated in the past, the biggest problem over there was Vic Basil, VERY DISLIKED and pm'd about constantly. THE BEEF suspects that the members ( Mark M, Bob S etc ) have chose not to continue to pay for the site. John Hanson might know more.

FACT -THE BEEF will pay the costs  to keep the site up - please pm THE BEEF. A small price to pay to delete as much of Vic's bullshit from the internet as possible.
