Someone on here recently mentioned that Vince is in the process of trying to acquire the AWA library.

I think he owns it already. They did a DVD a while back.

Finally watch it on the big screen Cheesy
Xbox 360 had a new download .. it fixed the issue... Smiley
Tomorrow's main event is being shown on the WWE Network..
Not quite sure if the show is moving to the network..
But it would make sense .. that way they get more subscribers..
I had heard they wanted to do exclusive wrestling matches for the network..
The main event tomorrow is DB vs. Kane

The WWE has been promoting the network from a historical perspective. I'm not sure this is the way to go. I just don't think there are enough people willing to pay a monthly fee for an oldies station.

The real attraction is the PPVs which they could offer as a package, kinda like season pass for NFL games.

clearly the Newtork is literally paying dividends for Vinny Mac. WWE shares are at an all time high of over $29 now which means his net worth has risen, in the last few months, from roughly $350 million to over $1.3 billion!

Had I known the details about the network deal beforehand, I would have purchased WWE stock before the launch. I'd all but given up on the Fed, but this whole project has success written all over every part of it, IMO.

Vince has a very poor history with business endeavors outside of wrestling. But, sticking to what he knows, he never ceases to amaze.

I have been following WWE stock on almost a daily basis for 9 months or so. The share price collapsed to $7, i was tempted to jump onboard with an investment because, being the market leader, it could only increase with what was on offer. Now i wish i had just had the courage to put everything i have into it, $29 and rising even after a reported 1/4 loss. It could in theory crush $35 within 3-4 months should the network prove to be successful.

I heard Cena on Austin's Podcast mention that he was learning Mandarin Chinese because the WWE in looking to get into the China. This could be an additional reason for the recent rise in WWE stock. Making a dent into that market could increase revenue exponentially.

I honestly like to see people and their companies succeed, but I wonder how effective it will long term to - rather than improving the product - offer it to more markets.

They have added new shows from uwf and Memphis wrestling.
Just got of work a bit ago..
Watching a bit WCW thunder before going to bed..

Vince's net worth has dhot up almost 200 mill in 2 days through insane share price rises! Good on him, but im not sure if it is sustainable. 12 month revenues will determine where it truly goes from here, but at the moment he must be delighted.

Any good Stone Cold podcasts you guys can recommend?

I've listened to DDP, Cornette, Bret hart, Stan Efferding, Bruce Prichard and a couple others so far.

And Los Lonely boys too but wasn't really my cup of tea.

The ones he did with Kevin Nash and Razor Ramon (broken into three parts each) were really interesting. Was a little unsure about those guys before, with the bad reputation they have in the business among some ex-wrestlers but you get to hear their side of things throughout the interviews.

Also, the JR interviews were quite good, with JR recounting some great stories about older stars from the territory days.

Also, try to count how many times Stone Cold says "back in the day" in each episode...

Question:

is WM available through normal PPV as well?

beause the way the advertising sounds, it seems like the only way you can see it is if you connect via the WWE network?

I think it depends on your provider.
