Yes I think you would have the same problem with the condom though, in the sense that it can kill the mood so not much different.

The trick is to use it leading up to the event if you know something is on the cards, but you are right it can be a bit odd and needs to be put diplomatically.

Sometimes you can even secretly do it (my preferred option), takes a little bit of skill though (or so I have been told)  

Still if you are with a regular hook up then its the easiest thing  to do in the world.
