this may or may not be true but just because somewhere has a high crime rate doesn't excuse it. put another way for all its high rate how many cases of spouses being shot while having a shit after a row have happened?  I will guess at just this one.

I am not guessing as to whether he killed her intentionally or not. All I am saying is that according to media reports, his supposed heightened paranoia and fears could be a result of the high violent crime rate in South Africa. Ultimately, the judge (a black woman) will decide if Oscar committed homicide or if this was accidental as he claims it to be.

The little guy got too big for his .. well ... fake booties and thought he could get away with murder, literally. Thought he was invincible because the mindless media fawned over him and made him believe he was something special. All the while he's just a freak show that made for a good story. And now IS making for a good story judging by the coverage it's getting. If anything good comes from this, it'll knock him down a peg or two and bring that little brain and attitude back to earth. His athletics 'career' is finished. He'll be in a magazine or two for 'exclusive' babbling before going on the 'celebrity island'. Then the 'celebrity house'. Then a 'tell all' book before everyone's nonexistent attention span forgets all about him.

Non of this would've happened if the kid were more secure in himself. Mix pathological insecurity along with fake praise and you get this.
